Riots, Deaths, and Apologies - and All Were Wrong

Why is it that it does not surprise me that in third world Afghanistan that the masses riot and they do not even  know why.  They may think they know why, but they are likely wrong.  I mean, maybe those rioting really do hate America (though for no good reason I am sure).  They hate the country that free them from a regime that had one of the worst human rights violations records in modern history.  They hate the economic infusion and all of the free training.  They hate progress, freedom, and human rights.  You get the picture.

Supposedly these riots broke out because the US Military burned some Korans.  The fact is that they did indeed burn the Korans.  The trouble making people who were stirring up the riots knew that the US Military was doing nothing wrong.  There are many in the Muslim community that say the proper thing to do with damaged Korans is to burn them.  Worst case scenario - it was an inadvertent act.  So apparently, the proper response is senseless killings and riots.

The only thing that makes this situation worse, is the response from President Obama and all in his administration:  apologizing.  There simply should have been a press release that it was a mistake.  Making an apology only throws gasoline on the proverbial fire that are the riots.  Some news organizations call these "protests".  Protests become riots when violence breaks out - they are no long protests.

Allegedly some high ranking official in the Afghan Police Force shot and killed two high ranking US military officials.  All US advsiors have been pulled back.

My opinion is that all aid, training and help to Afghanistan should be pulled right away.  If they do not want the US there - pull out as soon as possible. This is not something that can be fixed.  The program was and is a failed one from reports coming from the inside of Afghanistan.

Again - More Civil Liberty Infringement by The Obama Administration

I do not know of anyone I have met in person that does not think Obama went over board against the freedom of religion with the recent actions concerning the health care law. We knew from the beginning it (the health care law) would be a total infringement against civil liberties. Now with the "contraception" parts to be enforce - it is becoming obvious. When they imposed this horrible piece of legislation on the American people, they were using 1984 style "doublespeak". They used phrases like denying insurance based on pre-existing conditions. That in and of itself is not insurance.

Insurance is the act, system, or business of insuring property, life, one's person, etc., against loss or harm arising in specified contingencies, as fire, accident, death, disablement, or the like, in consideration of a payment proportionate to the risk involved.

(stolen from dictionary.com) Insuring a person for a pre-existing condition is exactly the same as insuring a car after a traffic accident. It is NOT insurance. It is some sort of support from other people for your own condition. I have no idea what the real term would be, but in reality it is nonsense. The health care reform was done by people who have no idea what insurance is or how it works or should work. Why this administration feels that people who work and pay taxes should support those that don't, I have no idea. This provision of the health care law is a slam dunk loser when it comes to constitutionality.

Which President has Taken Away Your Liberties?

A lot of folks out there are saying that the George Bush administration trampled Americans’ civil liberties. OK, for the sake of arguments, I will not even argue this. However, no administration has signed off on the most anti-civil liberty legislation ever, NDAA other than the Obama administration. The Obama administration has continued every single “violation f civil rights” that the Bush administration did. There has been no major deviation from policies concerning gathering information by the FBI and other federal agencies. Yet, that isn’t enough. Through the forcing down the American people throats of the “affordable care act” or “Obamacare” the administration has directly fought and is fighting against our religious liberties. Of course, Nancy “you have to pass it to see what is in it” Pelosi is just as responsible for this attack against religious freedom. The reality is, whenever “liberals” argue about religious freedoms, it is only about such freedoms that seem to affect them negatively. Remember the voting rights violations by the Black Panthers?

The thugs were in paramilitary garb and one brandished a nightstick. Since this was a clear violation of the Voting Rights Act, the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in December 2008 initiated a civil suit against the party, its chairman, and the two men at the polling place. In legal terms, this was as a simple matter, a slam-dunk.”

A slam dunk – yet the case was never pursued by the justice department. Another Obama administration violation of basic human and civil rights. If you recall, there was a default jusdgement in the case. Done and over, yet, the Obama administration felt that there needed to be some more violations of citizens’ rights. So, when Eric Holder became the head of the Justice Department, somehow this case was “re-worked” and now – there is no judgment against the thugs with nightsticks who bullied voters. The examples go on and on… it cannot be denied, Obama is the worst president ever when it comes to civil liberties, religious liberties, and human rights.
